Meet Shawn ONeal

Hi, I'm Shawn, founder of Untamed Cat Productions. My path to becoming a Video DJ is probably a little different from most. I spent nine years on active duty in the U.S. Army, including serving as a Combat Engineer Platoon Leader during the Gulf War. After the Army, I built a career in technology and medical devices as a software engineer, quality engineer, quality manager and Information Systems manager before eventually medically retiring.

At 64, after a 42-year marriage ended, I found myself beginning a completely new chapter of my life. For years, one of my favorite things has been going to dance clubs—the music, the videos, the lights, the people and the incredible energy of a great night out. I especially love watching a song bring back memories: a high-school dance, a favorite nightclub, or simply a time in life someone hasn't thought about in years.

So rather than simply retire, I decided to turn something I genuinely love into Untamed Cat Productions Video DJ. My goal is simple: combine great music, original music videos, professional sound and lighting to create an atmosphere where people can dance, laugh, sing along and have a great time. I may not be the youngest DJ in the room—and that's actually part of what I bring to the party. I lived through these decades. I remember when many of these songs and videos were new. For me, Untamed Cat Productions isn't just about playing music. It's about enjoying life, bringing back great memories while creating some new ones and to express my creativity. I have been exploring the world of AI and using AI to create songs that tell the stories that I want to tell. You can find my work on various music streaming services like Spotify under my artist name of Untamed Cat. Enjoy and live life! The Untamed Cat Video DJ
